How it works

  1. Step 1

    Match the door

Heavy insulated doors need a 3/4 or 1 HP motor. We size the opener to your door weight and R-value — not just what's on sale.

  2. Step 2

    Install & program

New motor, rail, safety sensors, wall control, remotes, and keypad. Full battery-backup and MyQ smart-home pairing.

  3. Step 3

    Test everything

Force settings, travel limits, sensor alignment, and the auto-reverse safety test — verified before we pack up.

Which opener is right for your garage?

Attached garage under a bedroom? A belt-drive LiftMaster 8500W or Genie SilentMax is nearly silent. Detached garage where noise doesn't matter? A chain-drive 1/2 HP is the value pick. Both get you Wi-Fi and battery backup on modern models.

Battery backup is Florida law

Since 2019, every new garage door opener installed in Florida is required to have battery backup. It keeps the door working through hurricane-season power outages — so you're not stuck lifting a 200-pound door by hand during an evacuation.

FAQ

Can a Wi-Fi opener run on my current door?+

Almost always. A current LiftMaster or Genie head unit will pair with any standard sectional door. We handle the mount, sensors, and MyQ or Aladdin Connect setup on your phone.

My remote quit — is the whole opener toast?+

Usually not. It's normally a flat battery, a remote that fell out of pairing, or a bad receiver board. We chase the smallest fix first and only replace what actually needs it.

Can you add another remote or a keypad?+

Yes — LiftMaster, Genie, and Chamberlain remotes, keypads, and HomeLink modules are on the truck, ready to program right there.
